About Me

Hello! I'm ActuallyHalowo

Call me Halowo, Halo or Chloe! I don't mind. I'm a transgender and pansexual furry from, and currently residing in, South East England.
I was previously a Roblox game developer, doing work under the studio HaloDev Games, but I have moved away from the Roblox platform for reasons. You can find my notable games here.
You may also know me by some of my other aliases and previous usernames:
xXHaloEpicXx, NotHalowo, xHalo__ and HaloChan1234 to name a few...
I've been in the furry fandom since around mid 2018, I'm not too sure.
It's been a while though, that I can say for sure!

The holy trinity of interests

I'm really interested in tech, photography and public transport. The holy trinity if you will!I love basically all forms of tech. Anything from simple electronics, to computers, to games consoles! Ever since 2020, I've been building PCs for myself and friends, and have even building up a little games console collection.Ever since college, I've been pretty interested in photography, and have primarily been taking photos at fur meets since 2026. You can find my favourites here, and my cameras here. And finally, public transport! I'm not sure whether this is just a lucky coincidence or if autism really does just draw you to public transport. Either way, I love most forms of public transport!Talk to me about buses and trains! I can yap your ear off for hours about them...

Halo the content creator

I also make content occasionally! Most of it is hot garbage, but that's the point. My signature is the Clip Dump series which is exactly what it says on the tin, me offloading some clips to YouTube to free up space on my hard drive! Minimal editing, ordered chronologically, simple as.
Though, sometimes I do longer form videos, like revisiting Crab Game after 2 years.
I used to stream on Twitch between 2019 and 2021, and I've slowly been coming back to streaming as of mid 2026 after being invited to Twitch Affiliate.

i'll finish this later lol (element limit)

Photography

A collection of some of my favourite photos, all shot on a Canon EOS 5D Mark III unless otherwise stated.

All of my photos (unless otherwise specified) are released under the Pawbean License, a slight modification of the CC BY-NC 3.0 license.

A short portfolio of my past Roblox game development endeavours.

Foreword

Most of these games were released under my Roblox development studio, HaloDev Games.
I started the studio under a different name on Scratch in 2015, though rebranded and pivoted to Roblox in mid 2018.
HaloDev Games has now ceased operation. The games under the studio are either dormant, or in new hands.
This list is presented for documentation purposes only, and is in no particular order.
Statistics are correct as of October 2026, and will not be updated. Visit counts are for all places related to a game (i.e. beta places and earlier versions on different profiles), rounded to the nearest hundred.

Tide Rush 2

Tide Rush 2 is a Flood Escape 2 fan-game built for map makers by map makers.I built Tide Rush 2 as a sequel to the original Tide Rush (previously Flood Escape Ultra) that had fallen into disrepair due to Roblox engine updates. It was a more polished experience all around and was based on a (at the time) recent copy of Open Flood Test by ForbiddenJ.The Tide Rush series was notable for not stealing maps, which was a big problem among Flood Escape clones and fan-games.
Before my departure from Roblox, TR2 featured Autumn Hideaway by Nennai with permission as a playable map in the Autumn 2023 event. Autumn Hideaway was a map previously in FE2 officially, but was later removed. This was the only official way to play the map since removal.
TR2 featured a bigger toolbox of resources for map makers compared to FE2, and had unlimited EventScript functionality, which FE2 locked down in 2019.
The game was also a big part of the 702 Universe lore, with some hidden details around the lobby for players to find and pick apart, and even some canon maps.
This game is currently left dormant. I have no intentions of updating the game anymore, but if enough demand arises I may appoint a new owner to continue development.

Flooded Area

Survive the water that continuously rises and buffs over time along with other players by building boats, defying physics, and discovering new blocks!I was involved with the v4 UI redesign, then later became a developer of the game as a whole.
During my time as a developer, I implemented several community requested features and parts for boat building. Most of the work was scripting.
This game is currently in the hands of the other developers, although I still occasionally help out with moderation and backend scripting on rare occasions.

Halo's Arena: Rematch

Halo's Arena: Rematch was a cancelled successor to Halo's Arena. Rematch intended to address many of the shortcomings of the original game, but never made a stable release.Rematch was one of the last games I was working on before leaving the Roblox platform. It had far more streamlined gameplay; smaller map, more conventional gameplay and faster rounds. You can see some early development footage of the game on YouTube. Before being open-sourced, the game was functional enough to play. Gunplay was feature complete, the gameplay loop foundation was laid out, and a win condition was possible. This game never released, but has now been open-sourced and can be found on GitHub.

702 Industries

702 Industries was a spiritual successor to HDGCC. Instead of being based on Pinewood Computer Core and Innovation Arctic Base like HDGCC, 702 was largely inspired by QSERF by Quantum Science and Innovation Inc Spaceship. The game saw sporadic development, mostly seeing 1-2 months of heavy progress followed by a 6 month break. Originally, it was intended to be modeled after Mira HQ from Among Us, but then spiralled into another core game.Due to the high standard I intended to do the game to, development was very slow even during the cycles of heavy progress. As such, even today it's quite bare-bones. Eventually this game will be featured in the "HDG10 cancelled projects" video. Most of my games took place within the 702 Universe, most notable being Tide Rush 2, which also included Base 774 during the Operation: Overkill event. Base 774 was a research outpost on Mars that experienced a mass evacuation as depicted in the map. It is entirely canon to the 702 Universe.

Halo's Arena

A fast-paced PvP game best played with friends!
Collect supplies from crates and start fighting! The person with the highest score at the end of the round wins!
This game was started following the discontinuation of Flood Golf's remake, and was more of an experiment to see what I could do in the FPS/PVP genre. Sadly, due to being one of my earlier games, the codebase was an absolute mess and adding content got harder and harder.A successor to the game with a more modern codebase and more streamlined gameplay was in development for a short time until my departure from the Roblox platform and the closure of HaloDev Games. Said successor has now been open-sourced and can be found on GitHub.This game has been discontinued. It can still be played but will not be updated anymore.

Tide Rush

Tide Rush / Flood Escape Ultra is a fan-made game of Flood Escape 2!Tide Rush (originally Flood Escape Ultra) was a fairly generic Flood Escape fan-game when I discovered it. Originally developed by feefiphoefum, I took over and aimed to turn the game into a more unique game. For the most part, I managed to get the game to stand out amongst the sea of Flood Escape clones, it was even featured in a BoonMoon video, but given it was one of my early projects (much like Halo's Arena), it suffered from a lot of jank and poor game design decisions. The Tide Rush series was notable for not stealing maps, which was a big problem among Flood Escape clones and fan-games. Alongside this, Tide Rush was the only place you could officially play a select few maps by Nennai, as they became Tide Rush exclusives.
In 2021, the game was broken by a Roblox engine update (non-strict scripting I believe) and was left dormant until I started working on Tide Rush 2 in 2022.
This game has been discontinued. It can still be played but will not be updated anymore.

Minermart

An infinite miner built off of Azure Mines by Berezaa. This game was started as a unique Discord tie-in. Azure Mines had recently been open sourced and I had the idea of using ores in-game as role colours in a Discord server. In reality, that portion never came to fruition, so all that remained was just a slightly expanded Azure Mines game. This game is currently left dormant. I have no intentions of updating the game anymore.

HDGCC

HaloDev Games Computer Core (HDGCC for short) was my take on the 'core game' genre.
Mostly inspired by Innovation Arctic Base with some extras taken from Pinewood Computer Core, HDGCC was... a mess.
This was one of my very first "major" projects, with development spanning from early 2019 until the start of 2021. I am really not proud of this game, especially due to me stealing assets in the early days, but it's noteworthy enough to get a place on this list since it did gain traction. This game has been discontinued. It can still be played but will not be updated anymore.

Play will direct you to an old yet stable build, whereas Legacy will take you to the latest. I suggest playing Legacy.
Yes, the logo looks like Gucci. Yes, I've heard this many times before.

The HaloDev Games statement

In the interest of transparency, I (ActuallyHalowo) would like to give you all an update on the current situation we are in on the Roblox platform.
If you haven't seen yet, Roblox has enforced ID verification to use chat, has segregated people into age groups and has effectively demolished all forms of player interaction without forking over some form of government document.
To avoid making this page 80% 'my views on privacy' by volume, I'll keep it short by saying I myself do not support this change. The implementation is incredibly heavy-handed and a massive violation of user privacy. It affects us developers massively.
Community is one of the core values for HaloDev Games and this update directly stands in the way of that. No chat means no player engagement, those who are ID verified are segregated which means they engage less (if at all), and I myself don't get to interact with the community because I refuse to verify (not to mention, I would be segregated too). Not to mention the moderation problems this causes.
For example, if someone were to bypass the chat filter to spam racist slurs and they were in a different age group to me, I wouldn't be able to see their messages and take action. There's a whole boatload of problems with this approach and it's been quite detremental to quite a few games, including an upcoming game I had planned which had a heavy focus on pushing the boundaries of the Roblox chat system.
To add insult to injury, Roblox has also started locking Team Create behind ID verification, and will only allow users to collaborate with others in a similar age group. This threatens us as a team, and many other developers, especially those gaining their footing on the platform.
I was originally hoping for Roblox to see the light and roll these changes back, but they either don't care or are oblivious to their stock price tanking.
This left us with two options: suck it up and fork over our IDs to continue developing, or close up shop and move on.
Based on what you are reading on this page, you can probably guess what option we chose. This update violates our core values, and we likely won't recover from this.
Trust me when I say this announcement hurts, HaloDev Games has been my pride and joy for over 7 years, but we cannot exist on a platform which doesn't align with our values. I understand none of you want to hear this either, but all good things must come to an end eventually, I was just hoping the end was in 5 to 10 more years.
Sadly, this also means all of the projects announced as part of the 10 year anniversary will likely never see the light of day either, so I will make a YouTube video with a comprehensive showcase of all of them.
Words cannot describe how sorry I am to share this news. I would like to give a big and sincere thank you to everyone who was a member of the HDG community over the years, to those who supported us during dry spells, to those who played our games, and especially to our contributors. It meant the world to us.Whatever happens, I wish you all the best going forwards. Thank you all for your support, we wouldn't have gotten here without each and every single one of you!
See you on the other side.

My collection of mostly secondhand cameras that I make do with.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III

My main camera which most of my photos are taken on.
Usually using a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 lens.
Bought in 2023 while I was in college doing photography,
now a mainstay of my camera collection.

GoPro HERO4 Black

Tiny boy, usually used for POV videos when outdoors, or sometimes combined with my extension pole for some other types of shot.Bought in 2026 from a charity shop I volunteer at.
Was originally dead when donated but I managed to revive it.

Google Pixel 9 Pro XL

My phone and backup camera! Basically only used for low-light and indoor photos, or when I don't have my main camera.Been a Pixel user since late 2018, but I'm sticking with this one for the forseeable future.

Oh and some other cameras in my collection that I very rarely use: Polaroid P, Hanimex 110 EF, Samsung SMX-F30SP, Canon PowerShot SX420 IS
Please for the love of god do NOT mention the mousepad dirt. These photos were taken immediately after a wash and this mousepad is 6 years old.
I know about the dirt!!!! I will replace it soon <3
